Loose parts can be found throughout all of our Indoor Classrooms and Outdoor Classrooms at Marvelously Made. Giving children the time and space to tinker, create, and experiment with loose parts is so valuable.
On this particular day in the Primary Outdoor Classroom (1st-3rd grade), a new game was created using a tire and a pallet. As the game developed, the children used their weight to try to tip others off of the pallet.
Teamwork, communication, problem solving, strength, and balance were all at play during this game.
Because the children had the time to create and play this game, they will have an experience to tie different science vocabulary to (lever, fulcrum, force).
