Community Events

At Marvelously Made – the School for Young Children we deeply value the role of community in education. That is why we participate in and offer community events throughout the year. Below you will find descriptions of our most frequent community events.

Annual Gingerbread Decorating Party

2nd Saturday of December

This annual school-wide event is open to the public on a space-available basis.  Families who attend are provided an amazing homemade gingerbread house and all the trimmings to decorate it!  All materials are included in the price of the reservation and all of the proceeds help to offset the school budgetary needs.  Like us on Facebook to get reservation updates and information in November.

Helotes Marketplace

1st Saturday in April

The City of Helotes hosts MarketPlace in Old Town, Helotes on the first Saturday of each month and you can find Marvelously Made there in April.  Stop by our booth for a freebie for the kids, some encouragement for parents, and to contribute to a collaborative community art piece.

Open Play Days

Date(s) to be announced

Our Open Play Day is a time for our families, friends, and community members to spend some time playing and making connections at Marvelously Made!  This is an awesome opportunity for all children to come and enjoy all the things that make Marvelously Made a place for children.  Like us on Facebook to get updates about dates and times as they become available.

Cornyval Parade

1st Saturday in May

As part of the Helotes Cornyval Celebration, the Parade is a wonderful family activity.  Each May our school joins in the fun with our own parade float.  The float is filled with current and alumni families who enjoy their opportunity to toss candy to the crowd and pass out favors to the bystanders.  There is nothing quite like a good small-town parade so be sure to come out and enjoy this annual event!
