An educational option
for 4th - 8th Grade

The Collective is a unique multi-age educational option for children in 4th-8th grades at Marvelously Made. Here, parents and teachers collaborate to provide children with a rich and well-rounded learning experience. We call this approach a homeschool hybrid because parents take on part of the teaching.

What do parents do?

When you join the Collective, you will be responsible for teaching your child math and language arts at home on your schedule, as we believe that providing children with an individualized curriculum in these academic areas at this stage of development offers them an ideal education. Working with your child in math and language arts in a one-on-one setting allows you to follow your child’s lead and give you the flexibility to ensure that all content is mastered. We have researched numerous homeschool curricula and are happy to assist you in selecting a curriculum.

What happens at school?

Within a classroom community, we focus on the academic areas of history, geography, and science, the children participate in nature studies, learn handwork skills, create art, and more! We also focus on teamwork through a variety of experiments, instant challenges, and group games. As always, your child’s social and emotional growth will continue to be a focus throughout these formative years.

What curricula is used at school?

Our curriculum is selected to enhance your child's academic learning and to increase their knowledge of God's role in creation, science, and the world.

The Story of the World, our history curriculum, teaches history from the beginning of time to the modern day in a four-year cycle. We add a year to focus on an in-depth study of US and Texas history. At the completion of a five-year Collective experience, your child will have received a comprehensive history education.

In geography, we focus on map reading skills as we explore geographical areas connected to the history we study. Students actively learn facts about various areas around the globe, draw maps, and locate places around the world.

Our science curriculum, supported by Apologia Science, covers areas such as botany, anatomy, astronomy, chemistry, physics, and zoology. A wide variety of experiments and other hands-on learning opportunities enhance these lessons.

Marvelously Made is truly a school that makes learning fun, meaningful, and interesting!

We would love an opportunity to show you the Marvelously Made Difference!
