Sand, Water, and Problem Solving

Every morning at The Farmhouse (ages 3-5), invitations are set out for the children to explore. However, the magic happens when the children arrive!

On this morning, the sand pit was transformed into a river with running water flowing through.

The children strengthened their gross motor skills by digging, scooping and pouring sand to create the river.

They found loose pieces to create a way for water to flow from the spout into the river bed. They developed language and communication skills as they problem solved and worked collaboratively.

Our days are child centered and child led. This is the Marvelous Made Way!
