Parent Education

Parent education at Marvelously Made is not only a great way to stay updated on what the children are working on at school, but it is also a time to learn and grow as a community.

Each year we hold two Parent Education Events.  At these events we play, eat, learned about what the children are doing in the classrooms, and listened to a session from Jennifer McCarville about a topic that is relevant to our community.

At the beginning of the night, parents move between different tables to try activities that their children are currently working on. The teachers have a chance to share the learning that is taking place in each experience.

This is also a time for parents to get a look at how different parts of the curriculum and skills progress school wide.

Then, we share a meal and get to know each other better.

Finally, we end the night with a message from Jennifer McCarville. These sessions are about something that is relevant to our community.

Topics range from the impact screens can have on our children, how to talk about death with children, to how children learn to read, and the importance of social and emotional development.

What a blessing it is to truly be a community that grows together for the good of the children!
