Our new beehive is thriving and the happy bees have been busy making honey!
Ms. Emily, our beekeeper, came to share about the importance of bees and answer questions that the children in the Primary group had.
Then, she brought out the necessary tools to harvest the honey from the honeycomb.
The children got to watch the process. It was an incredible opportunity.
We couldn’t believe how much honey was on just one frame! It smelled amazing.
Ms. Emily put the mixture into the pot and pressed the honey out and away from the wax.
What was left was our own Marvelously Made honey and each student got to take home a sample.
